I’m just another girl working in science, working with plants and insects, making art, trying woodworking, and dancing to pop songs unfamiliar to me, and constantly learning, broadening my horizons… and making lots of mistakes along the way.
Some reasons I started this blog:
- to feel a sense of accomplishment
- to see evidence of progress
- to practice consistency and continuity
- to experiment
While I could easily start a personal journal, I’ve chosen to blog publicly because there’s a sense of accountability that I can’t get from a personal journal. Just the 0.001% chance that someone else besides myself might see this is enough motivation for me to provide content. That said, I pretend that no one is reading this in order to feel at ease about being honest and direct with how I feel at the time I’m doing my drawings or other activities. I write this so that I also gain a sense of understanding of where I am in my blogging experience and in my journey as an artist.
